Studio

Our design studio is located in Stockbridge which is developing into a centre of design excellence, attracting many of Edinburgh’s top marketing, interior and architectural practices.

The studio is within an A-listed, Georgian building designed by James Milne in 1824 on Sir Henry Reaburn's Estate. Originally a bakery, we have sensitively adapted it to suit our needs using a palette of natural materials and low energy lighting. In line with our approach to architecture, we have retained and conserved the Georgian detailing including original shop front and made ‘light touch’ modifications to the remaining fabric to achieve our aims. We have used benign materials and finishes in their natural state to create a peaceful, honest interior. We have incorporated a ‘samples’ wall to allow clients to touch and see the materials we enjoy using in our architecture.

Stockbridge is also recognised as a food lover’s destination with excellent butcher, fishmonger, cheese shop, patisserie, delicatessen and the established vibrant Sunday market all within 100 meters of the office.
